Description
An OLED screen differs from an LCD screen because each pixel is it’s own light source. A reflective LCD has a front light and LCDs of other types like TFT have a backlight. An OLED screen is its own light source. This also means that OLED screens use less power and are more visible.
This screen has an I2C interface (2 wires) which makes connecting it easy. With the right libraries it’s easy to get started and display text or images.
This screen is somewhat small. The smallest Apple watch has a screen of around 1.5 inches. This screen measures only 0.96 inches. Keep the size in mind when choosing it for a project.
It’s a perfect size for adding information about a few variables related to the environment, a machine, solar system, battery bank, etc.
