This module is built around the CN3065 solar charging IC. It’s a specialized IC that squeezes the most energy possible out of a solar input and manages the charging of an attached lithium (ion or polymer) battery. The integrated 8 bit analog to digital converter (ADC) adjusts charging current constantly based on the output capability of the power input. This is ideal for solar applications.
The module also has a USB port that allows for the battery to be charged by USB. This would be ideal for any device designed to function primarily from solar power but with the option of being charged by USB. Solar power banks, radios, fans, lights, cameras, etc are all made possible with this module.
In integrated LED turns red when charging and green when charging is complete.
Note that the output power from the battery is unregulated so a boost or buck converter may be needed to regulate the output to the desired voltage for the application.
