Boost/buck converters accept power from a source with a wide voltage range and transform that into a stable output voltage. The input voltage can be above or below the regulated output. If the input voltage voltage is lower than the regulated output voltage the regulator will enter boost mode to boost it to the desired voltage. If the input voltage is too high it will enter buck mode to bring the voltage down to the desired voltage. This behavior can be very useful in a battery powered application where the battery outputs a wide range of voltages but a single stable voltage is required for the circuit.
These boost/buck converters accept an input voltage range of 3-15V and will regulate a maximum of 600mA of sustained current.

VIN and VOut connections are labeled on the back of the PCB. An enable pin is included to allow the regulator to be turned on or off with a microcontroller. The configured output voltage is labeled on the back of the PCB.
